Wild River Safari

Safari on the Mnyera River and Ruhudji River

7 Days: Two Camps, Two Rivers, 6.5 days fishing

Join us for a thrilling wild river safari or deep sea fishing adventure on the Mnyera and Ruhudji Rivers in Southern Tanzania. For 16 years, these rivers have been renowned for exceptional trophy tiger fishing, with anglers targeting fish in the impressive 10-25 pound range.

Mnyera River Explore 40km of diverse fishing waters, from wooded rapids and pools to structure-rich midsections and deep clay banks downstream. This variety makes it ideal for tiger fishing, with Tengo Camp serving as the base for your adventure.

Ruhudji River Located nearby, the Ruhudji River offers 80km of prime fishing waters. It shifts from shallow sand banks and deep bends in the lower reaches to a narrow, deep river bordered by wooded gorges upstream. Samaki Camp is the perfect base for Ruhudji River fishing.

Angling Species Target the powerful tiger fish (Hydrocynus tanzaniae), ranging from 1 to 28 lbs. Additional species include yellowfish, catfish, bream, and Gundu. Since 2008, our expert guides, collaborating with ichthyologists, have identified over 30 fish species. Specializing in tiger fishing on fly, they have refined tackle and tactics for an unparalleled fishing experience.
